Moving On

The CD lied on the table. It was not any ordinary CD, it was her wedding CD.

She tried not to look at it, her wedding moments were captured, frozen and then imprisoned in that round disc. The tomb of her happiness!

She closed her eyes and she could almost see herself in her best gown, wearing one gorgeous diamond necklace, her hair carefully made, her eyes wide with joy.

She could almost smell the sweet scent of her perfume and flowers .She could see the magnificent floral arrangement  and all other decorations on which she had spent a fortune!

What an idiot was she to believe that it was the moment and he was the person, her soul mate? How could she blindly trust him and wait for the happily ever after so naively?

Just 10 days, that’s how long the bliss lasted !She was then exposed to the bitter truth, it was cruel and brutal! She was broken, she felt miserable.Would she ever be able to forget her past, would she ever be able to forgive him?

And then in a moment of inspiration she took the CD in her hand and broke it into half.Erasing the memories from her mind is going to take longer, but she would do that eventually. She would move on!
